While hurricane Frances was still pummeling us, the television and radio weather personalities kept mentioning a new storm that was forming, “Ivan”. To most of us in Florida, this talk of a new storm was just background noise. After all, we already had our hands full dealing with the aftermath of hurricane Charlie and the walls of our homes were creaking from hurricane Frances just outside our front doors. Well, now it’s looking very likely that Ivan (which, by the way, is now a very dangerous Category 5 hurricane) is heading our way. It could be here early next week. We seriously can’t take much more of this. Um… “uncle”? Stop please?

I’ve lived in Florida and Texas (near Houston/Galveston) for 80% of my life and I have never seen anything like this. It just boggles the mind. We’re going to do our best to prepare, but if this one hits like Charlie did things could go very wrong.

In the meantime, today is leg day! I’m off to do my workout and think about something besides hurricanes. Have a wonderful day, see you tomorrow…
