Today is Thanksgiving in the USA. There are a great many things for which I’m thankful! Here is a post I made last week on the forum (modified slightly):

First of all, I’m thankful for my wonderful wife, Lisa. She has always stood with me and supported me no matter what. I never thought I would be so fortunate as to spend my life with someone as wonderful as she. We’re a perfect match. We’re still in love after all these years and we still make each other laugh every single day. That’s a pretty rare thing, and I treasure it.

I’m very thankful for my family and friends. I have a supportive, loving family and great friends.

I’m thankful for my health. This is a big one. Two years ago I felt like I was dying, and now I feel like I could spin the world on my finger. I’m thankful that I was given a second chance at life. I grateful that I was able to recognize my many health problems before it was too late, and that I had the strength to correct them. There’s no question that the support of my family and friends (both online and IRL) played a large part in my ability to conquer my demons.

I’m thankful that my shoulder works again, and I that I’m finally bulking up!

I’m very thankful for all of you. I’ve made many wonderful friends and met many interesting people these past few years. I’m so proud of this community and the people who make it what it is. My humble little web site has grown much larger than I ever expected it would, and now, through the forums, JSF has a life of its own. Every time someone comes to this site or the forums and decides to improve his or her health, I feel like I’m the luckiest guy in the world to have been a part of that change.

I’m thankful for my two dogs, Loki and Turtle. They brighten my day, every day. No matter what kind of mood I’m in they manage to improve it.

I’m thankful that I have a job, a roof over my head, plenty of food to eat.

Really, I have no complaints at all. I feel like I’m an exceedingly fortunate person.

Please take a moment today to count your blessings. Try not to take even the smallest things for granted, because you never know when they’ll be gone. Have a wonderful day!
