After last week’s shoulder scare, I won’t be doing hammer curls this morning. I’m also going to double up on my warm-up sets. I’ve come too far to injure myself now. If I inure myself and can’t lift while I’m cutting that will really eat into my gains, so I’ve got to be extra careful.

Tonight the company I work for is taking everyone and their families out to dinner. I have chicken and broccoli scheduled on my food log, but I’ll change it when I get back. I’m sure I’ll get plenty of calories in! I’ll probably be the only one not drinking, too. It’s actually kind of fun to not drink and just sit back and watch as people get more and more inebriated. I did that at Thanksgiving and it was hilarious. When I decided to give up my weekly couple of drinks while I’m doing my bulk, I thought it was going to be very hard (especially with all the holidays). At first I missed it a little, but now I don’t miss drinking at all. I’ve never felt better or slept better than I have lately, and I think the absence of alcohol is a big part of the reason. I’m not saying I’ll never drink again, but it certainly has given me something to think about…
