Awesome workout; Losing weight, getting stronger(?!) and looking bigger.

I don’t get it. I’m eating a meager 2,000 calories per day, I’m losing fat, and my lifts have been going UP. Yesterday’s workout (pecs/delts/triceps) was insane! I went up in reps and/or weight for every single exercise that I performed (compared to last week). My bench press is almost back to where it was at the end of my bulk, and my incline bench press is right at the weight/reps I was using at the end of my bulk – except now I’m 15 pounds lighter! I did start taking creatine again a few days ago, and that’s the only thing I can think of that could explain the strength gain. Or maybe my body is just good at adapting to different caloric levels. I don’t know. Anyway, I’m extremely pleased with how this cut is going; I’ve been cutting for 2 months, I’ve lost about 15 pounds and I’ve lost no strength to speak of. I know I could lose weight a lot quicker if I wanted to, but my patience seems to be paying off. I think tomorrow’s monthly pictures are going to look a lot better than last month’s photos: almost all the weight I’ve lost is body fat and, because I’m more cut now, I think I actually look bigger today than I did a month ago. Of course this could all be wishful thinking on my part. 🙂 I guess we’ll all see tomorrow!
