I need sleep.

I’ve got so much going on in my life right now (mostly very positive stuff) that I’ve had trouble sleeping the past few days. I’ve been having trouble falling asleep, and then I’ve been waking up around 4:00 AM and can’t fall back asleep. It’s amazing how active my mind is at four in the morning! I’ve got a bag of mental tricks that I use to help me fall asleep quickly if I wake up in the middle of the night and they have always served me well, but they just are not working right now. For three days in a row I’ve had just 4-5 hours of sleep each night, and the lack of sleep is starting to take its toll. This morning I’m feeling tired and run down. I hate the feeling of not having enough sleep… “everything is a copy of a copy of a copy.” Tonight I’m going to take a warm shower right before bed and focus on shutting my mind down (that has never been a problem… 😉 )
