Sleep is so important to our overall health. I think just about everyone has experienced difficulty sleeping at one time or another. I don’t think there’s anything more frustrating than not being able to fall asleep even when you are dead tired. AtLarge’s ETS supplement has ZMA in it, and the ZMA has made a huge impact on my sleep: on most nights I sleep deep and uninterrupted. Of course there are times when I wake up to use the bathroom and then have trouble falling back asleep. Usually this happens when my mind is racing with thoughts about a big project at work or whatever. I can’t stop thinking about the project, and the clock keeps ticking. Something I discovered recently is that I sleep better when it’s very cold in the bedroom. Some of you may remember that I bought a portable 12,000 BTU A/C unit so that I could have an air conditioner small enough to run off my 5.5 KW generator in the event of a hurricane. Well, the past few nights I’ve been running the portable A/C in the bedroom in conjunction with the central air and it’s helped me sleep better than ever. I cool the room down to 61 degrees, snuggle up with Lisa and Loki (Turtle prefers to sleep in her own bed) and it’s lights out! The portable A/C also has an air cleaner, so the air is fresh and clean. I also like the “white noise” from the fan, it lulls me right to sleep.

I’m running late this morning, but it’s okay – it’s Saturday and I’m going to enjoy it! This will probably be my last weekend off in quite some time (busy days ahead at work). I hope you enjoy your day!
