That rib I hurt a few weeks ago seems to be just fine now. I had a pretty intense ab workout yesterday and the rib didn’t bother me at all. I’m a little disappointed in myself: I thought I worked out with enough intensity to at least crack the darn thing. I’ll have to try harder next time. 😉 I bought a new piece of cardio equipment this week. Lisa wanted a recumbent bike for… [Read more]

Quick update – running late.
Some mornings everything seems to take longer than it should. This is one of those mornings. Yep, I’m running behind again! It’s going to be a long, busy day so I’m going to go get my workout in (cardio and abs) and get busy. See ya!

Changing back to HIIT – in a FASTED state?!
Yesterday morning I decided to do my first HIIT workout in (checking logs…) 11 months to the day! I forgot how difficult HIIT is! I’ve definitely lost some aerobic capability doing nothing but LISS (Low Intensity Steady-State) cardio for the past 11 months. Even though yesterday’s workout was painful, I gave it my all. It felt pretty awesome! By the time I was done with my last 100% intensity interval my heart rate was 192… [Read more]

Good weekend; New pictures; Rib is doing well.
What an excellent weekend! I got some work for my job done, got some projects around the house completed, had the in-laws over for a cookout and a movie, did some gardening, watched an action DVD while Lisa was shopping and yesterday’s workout was awesome! I even updated my Picture Gallery with a few new pictures. Speaking of yesterday’s workout, my bruised (cracked?) rib didn’t bother me at all. I think it was just bruised… [Read more]

Today should be a lot of fun: I bought some new rose bushes that I’m going to plant around the mailbox this morning, and later today I’ve got my pecs/delts/triceps workout. It looks like I’m not going to have to work today after all, so once all that’s done I’ll probably relax and watch a movie. Lisa’s going shopping, so I’ll probably watch something loud and pointless. 🙂 I hope you have a great day!… [Read more]

Ah, Saturday! Actually I have to work part of the day, and I may have to put in a few hours tomorrow, too. Such is life. After my workout this morning I’m going to do some cleaning and then run to Home Depot: My “Yard Of The Month” gift card is burning a hole in my pocket! I also have another gift card from Lowes, so I may hit both places. Actually, now that I… [Read more]

Cutting plateau – time for change.
My cutting progress is stalled. Despite a clean diet and no missed workouts, I’m in a plateau. I’m going to change some things around with my diet and cardio. I’m going to buy a stationary bike to augment my elliptical, and I’ll probably drop a few calories and switch some of my foods around. I may start doing some HIIT again as well. As I get closer to 8%, I’m pretty sure I’m going to… [Read more]

I’m pretty sure I cracked a rib last week doing vertical leg presses. At first I thought it was just bruised, but the pain has not subsided at all. Thankfully it’s my lower “floater” ribs that are hurting, so the pain is quite tolerable: I can cough, get out of bed, lift weights… It’s more of an annoyance than anything else. I did have to stop my ab workout yesterday, I felt like I may… [Read more]

Lunch with Jeremy & Doreen Likness; Exciting new Titan options!
Yesterday Lisa and I had a very nice lunch with Jeremy and Doreen Likness. Jeremy and I have had many phone conversations and exchanged countless emails over the past couple of years, so it was cool to finally meet him in person. The Likness Clan is moving to Florida, so I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot more of each other now. I’m looking forward to working out with Jeremy – I’m sure we can… [Read more]

I’ve got a very busy day ahead, so I’m going to have to cut this update short and get going (I’m running late, as always). I hope your day is a good one!
