Horrible night’s sleep!

Lisa dusted the bedroom last night just before bed. When she finished she turned to me with a satisfied smile and said, “There – we should sleep well tonight!” Unfortunately when she was dusting she accidentally turned on both alarm clocks. Keep in mind that these alarm clocks are NEVER used because I wake up on my own around 6:00 AM each morning. Well, one of the alarm clocks was set to the default of 12:00 AM. It blasted me awake at midnight and, because I’m not used to manipulating the controls, I actually just snoozed it instead of turning it off. So it went off again a little later. I had to turn on the light and figure out how to turn the damn thing off. By now the dogs were awake and freaked out. Of course Lisa wasn’t disturbed – she sleeps like the dead – she barely mumbled “what’s that?” and was back into a deep sleep before I could even answer. So finally managed to shut that alarm up for good, but it took me over an hour to fall back asleep. The other alarm clock in our room is only used for a radio and has the wrong time on it. After a nice, oh, 20 minutes of sleep, THAT alarm clock decided to go off. The time was 2:10 AM. Of course Lisa didn’t move, and continued to sleep peacefully. So I shut the second alarm clock off and was just starting to drift back to sleep when guess who starts snoring? While I was weighing the consequences of murder, Lisa rolled over and stopped snoring. It took a while, but I finally fell asleep again. When I woke Lisa up this morning she asked, “How did you sleep, babe?”

I’m a wee bit tired this morning and running late, but I thought I’d share that with everyone. I’m off to do cardio now. Have a wonderful day!
