Taking today and tomorrow off from training.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I completed my final bulking workout yesterday, and will be taking today and tomorrow off from any kind of training. Last bulking workout today.

I can’t believe how fast the past three months have gone by: tonight is my final bulking workout! I’m going to take Monday and Tuesday off, and on Wednesday I start cutting using SGX. While I’m cutting I’ll be doing the same 4-day weight training split I did on my last cutting cycle, and I’ll be doing cardio 7 days per week. Weight gain stalled; Bulk ending in a couple days.

I’m eating a ton of food, but my weight gain seems to be leveling off. I’ve been upping my calories to unheard of levels (for me) over the past two weeks, but I think my body is finally tapping out and screaming “mercy!” I guess I have gained a lot of weight over a relatively short period of time, and I think my choice to bulk for 3 months was just about right. Horrible night of sleep.

Last night was easily the worst night of sleep I’ve had in months. I overslept yesterday morning, and I guess that made me more awake than usual at my regular bedtime. Nice day off yesterday; Overslept.

Somehow I was able to enjoy my day off yesterday with no interruptions from work! I had a great day, and got a lot of stuff accomplished: I cleaned the bedroom, did 2 loads of laundry, washed my car, goofed around on the forum and had an excellent chest workout. Biceps/triceps soreness; New sponsor announcement coming soon!

The modified training style I’ve been using since I pulled a muscle in my back seems to be shocking my muscles. I do my biceps/triceps superset workout on Sunday, and generally by Tuesday the soreness in my biceps is almost gone and my tricep soreness is greatly diminished. Excellent arm workout last night.

Last night’s workout was the second-to-last arm workout remaining in my bulk. I decided to make it extra-intense, and I shortened my rest intervals to 30 seconds between each superset. I completed the entire workout (not including warm-ups) in just over 30 minutes. My skin was so tight that my arms and forearms felt like over-filled water balloons.
