I had a work-related emergency this morning, but I was able to get everything fixed in time to do this update (and I’ll still be able to get my cardio done). Talk about a stressful way to start the day – I think when I do my LISS cardio my heart rate will actually go down!
I had a pretty good back workout last night. I felt a little slow getting started, but once I hit my stride everything clicked into place. My lats and traps are already sore this morning, and I have a feeling that by tomorrow I’m going to be hurting pretty bad. Thankfully tonight I don’t have a weight training workout and can rest up a bit.
Normally tomorrow night would be my leg workout; however, as I mentioned shortly before my vacation, I’ve moved back to a 5-day split. Why the change? I felt like my delts, biceps and triceps were not getting the attention, volume and intensity they deserved working them all on the same day. Tomorrow night I’ll be working my delts, and leg day will be on Saturday or Sunday (whichever day works best for me, doesn’t really matter). Friday night is still my bicep/tricep superset workout.
