Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - Welcome, guest user!

Forgot an appointment, rushing.

I forgot that I have to take my car into the shop this morning, so I have to start my cardio right now or I’m going to miss my appointment. I’m normally very good about putting appointments in my PDA, but this time I neglected to do so. Sorry for the short update! Reminder: The JSF Amazon Mall is now re-opened for business. The software issues have been 100% resolved, so the JSF mall is… [Read more]

Nice weekend; Titan/Fitcore update; JSF Mall.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I did, but it really flew by and now it’s back to work. I can’t really complain, as I have yet another two week vacation coming up in July (July 8th through the 23rd). 🙂 I guess saving all those vacation days up all year long has its advantages. On August 5th my vacation days are reset, but I’ll probably wait for the Christmas holiday to take some… [Read more]

Went out to eat yesterday; Cut? Maintain? I JUST DON’T KNOW! :P

Yesterday we took Lisa’s parents out to dinner for Father’s day. Lisa’s dad wanted Mexican food, so off we went. I love Mexican food, but it sure is salty – especially the chips and salsa. It’s amazing how many chips one can eat without even realizing it (particularly when margaritas are involved – which, of course, means even more salt). I had fajitas, and they were excellent! As expected, this morning I’m bloated up like… [Read more]

The weekend is finally here; Saturday plans.

I’m so glad the weekend is here. The first week of work after a two-week vacation is always a killer (I already feel like I’m ready for another vacation!) It does feel good to be back to my regular schedule, and I feel like I’ve settled back into my normal groove. Despite a pretty hectic week at work, I didn’t miss any workouts at all, and I’m proud of myself for that. It wasn’t easy,… [Read more]

Legs instead of arms tonight; No cheat meal tonight; Favorite Things update.

Tonight is normally my biceps/triceps workout, but my arms are still very sore from being indirectly worked earlier this week (triceps on chest night and biceps on back night). Normally they’ve recovered by Friday, but since I took last week off from weight training everything is extra sore this week. I never train a sore muscle, so I’m going to work my legs tonight and do my arm workout tomorrow or Sunday. No cheat meal… [Read more]

JSF Amazon Mall Re-opens!; New Favorite Thing update.

A few months ago I had to shut down the JSF Amazon Mall due to a technical problem with the software. The developer was not able to find a solution, and the whole thing just sort of got placed on a shelf and forgotten about. Well, yesterday I decided to try installing the latest version of the software, and did some limited tests on it. It seems like the technical glitch that was creating problems… [Read more]

Work problem this morning; Last night’s workout; Split change.

I had a work-related emergency this morning, but I was able to get everything fixed in time to do this update (and I’ll still be able to get my cardio done). Talk about a stressful way to start the day – I think when I do my LISS cardio my heart rate will actually go down! I had a pretty good back workout last night. I felt a little slow getting started, but once I… [Read more]

Back to my pre-vacation weight; post-vacation picture.

This morning my weight is 197 pounds – that’s within two-tenths of a pound of my lowest cutting weight this year. My muscles measurements did not change over my vacation, and last night’s chest workout was a slight improvement over last week’s chest workout. As far as my body is concerned, it’s almost as though the week of junk food never happened. I think there are a few reasons why I didn’t put on much… [Read more]

Back from vacation: postmortem.

After a relaxing two-week vacation from my usual life, today I return to my regular schedule. I feel like I’ve been away forever! My normal day-to-day life is so busy that each day of my vacation seemed twice as long. Thankfully Lisa and I were able to relax and enjoy our time together with very few interruptions from our work. I feel very rested and recharged this morning, and ready to get back to “normal”…. [Read more]
