My right shoulder got a little tweaked during last week’s chest workout. It’s not all that bad, but it has been bothering me on and off this week. I think I’m going to do some cardio this morning and wait and see how my shoulder feels tomorrow before making a final decision on this week’s chest workout. If it’s still hurting tomorrow I’m not going to tempt fate and will skip this week’s chest workout.

I’m so completely sick of cod that just typing the word “cod” induces a slight gag reflex. I will be changing my cutting diet a little bit to preserve my sanity. My macros really won’t be changing, just my protein sources. I knew I was going to be making this change when I went protein shopping this past weekend, and that’s why I bought stuff like shrimp, eye of round, lean turkey, chicken breasts, salmon and orange roughy. These are are good, clean, healthy foods and incorporating them into my cutting diet should not affect my progress at all. In fact, I think making this change will help my progress by greatly reducing the temptation to cheat. Lately I’ve been so sick of eating the same thing day after day that the temptation to cheat has been extremely strong. I’ve been able to resist the temptation so far, but I’m only human and at some point I’m probably going to snap and eat an entire chocolate cake fried in butter or something. I think a little variety is just what I need right now. Thinking back to my original transformation in 2003, I was eating a nice variety of foods and I honestly think that was a big factor in my ability to go almost 6 months without a single cheat meal.

OK, I gotta run now. Have a great day!
