I got up at 4:45 AM this morning and got right to work. I want to get all my work out of the way as quickly as possible so I can knock off around 2:00 PM this afternoon. Once I finish work, I’m going to take the rest of the day and all weekend to relax, have fun and not worry about counting calories or any of that stuff. I like to do these “free weekends” before I enter a protracted period of cheat-free dieting.
Sunday morning I will take a complete set of measurements (I suspect my body fat percentage has risen slightly, but I’m probably still below 9%), and on Monday I will resume my weight training and cutting diet. I’m very happy that my back injury only set me back a little over a week. Also, this little forced “break” has done me a world of good from a mental standpoint. I feel relaxed, recharged and ready to start down the final stretch of road that leads to my goal of 6% body fat.
