No alcohol = fat loss.

A few days ago I mentioned how clean my diet has been, and how I’ve not missed any cardio or workouts – yet my fat loss had been completely stalled out for a couple of weeks. I said that I was not going to change anything about my program, except I was going to completely stop drinking. This morning I’m down 1.4 pounds. It’s not a coincidence. More proof? Lisa is also on a little “pre-cruise” cut, and – like me – her fat loss had stalled for several weeks. She stopped drinking at the same time that I did, and she’s down 2 pounds after a long stall. Again, neither of us changed a single thing other than that we completely stopped drinking.

By the way, I don’t drink beer, wine or mixed drinks: I drink straight vodka. The reason I mention my drink of choice is because I often see people suggest that hard liquor is “better” than beer or whatever from a caloric standpoint. Maybe there are more calories in a Pina colada than a couple shots of vodka, but that doesn’t mean the vodka isn’t adding plenty of “empty” calories to your diet AND stopping your body from burning fat.

If your diet and training are solid, yet your fat loss is stalled out, try completely eliminating alcohol. You will be pleasantly surprised with the results.
