Brutal Friday night cravings; Rest.

I was still feeling a little under the weather yesterday evening, and there was a strong temptation to eat so-called “comfort food”. My regular diet sounded very unappetizing to me, and my resolve was weak. It’s times like last night where my “all or nothing” approach pays off. The only thing that kept me from giving in was my three week streak of being 100% perfect with my diet and training. The momentum I’ve built did not come easy, and I would have been a fool to squander it. So, I did the right thing: my streak is alive and this morning I’m one step closer to my goals. I’m proud of myself because these past three weeks have been a real challenge for me.

I am feeling pretty good this morning, but Lisa is still feeling sick. The name of the game this weekend (for both of us) is REST! Last week was an extraordinarily stressful and difficult one, and so a couple days off is going to do wonders.

I’ll be back tomorrow morning with my weekly progress report, measurements and stats. Until then, enjoy your weekend!
