As expected after returning from a week off, yesterday was a very busy day. Not a bad day, or even a particularly stressful day, just a hectic one. By the way, if you missed yesterday’s update, it’s a fairly detailed account of my vacation biking adventures (and mis-adventures), complete with links to plenty of additional photos and videos. You can check it out here.

I had a great leg workout yesterday afternoon. I’ve been doing a lot of high volume squats lately (3 sets of 20 after pre-exhausting), so this week I decided to switch things around a bit and did 3 sets of 6 using very heavy weight. I also did some heavy stiff-leg deadlifts. I was going to do Bulgarian split squats, but it was a fairly cool and breezy afternoon, so I took the barbell out back and did backyard lunges. Low volume workout, but heavy and satisfying.

In addition to our normal daily correspondence, Matt Drouillard (the lead developer of the new JSF BodyShop™) and I are now holding regular “formal” meetings. Progress on the new site is proceeding at a fast pace, and we are still on track to launch the closed beta program very soon. If beta testing goes well we expect to publicly launch the site in January. We’ll be releasing more details, screenshots and video in the weeks ahead.

I need to get to work. I’m still playing catch-up, and I hate feeling behind. Have a great day!

BodyShop™: Check out our first look at the JSF BodyShop™! In this preview you’ll find screenshots, a partial feature list and some additional information that will hopefully give you a better sense of what you can expect to find when BodyShop™ launches early next year.
