Happy Thanksgiving! When I woke up this morning warm in my bed lying next to my beautiful wife and faithful mutt, I smiled and thought about how incredibly fortunate I am. The difficulties I’ve experienced over the past year seem rather insignificant when placed in perspective. I have so much to be thankful for, and Thanksgiving always serves as reminder of that fact.
Today I’ll be making a traditional Thanksgiving feast for the family: Roast turkey, gravy, garlic mashed potatoes, homemade stuffing, cranberries, green beans, biscuits and pumpkin pie. After dinner I think we’re going all to watch a movie and just hang out talking. I love cooking and hanging out with my awesome family, so this is certainly one of my favorite holidays. I wish my family in Texas could be here, then it would be perfect!
I’ve got to sign off for the day and get things started in the kitchen – I’ve got lots of cooking to do. I hope my fellow Americans all have a fun and safe Thanksgiving holiday!
