OK, one week from today and I’ll enter full-on cutting mode until I reach 8% body fat. If you missed yesterday’s update, I posted a broad overview of my 2010 cutting program: training split, food choices and the “rules” I’ll be following.

I’ve decided to take this week completely off from training so my body can rest up before my cut starts. I’m also going to have a dietary “free week”. While I’m not going to stuff myself on junk food, I’m am going to allow myself to indulge a bit more than I otherwise would. This will be my last chance to do so for at least 3 or 4 months.

As I mentioned yesterday, I am going to be tracking my 2010 diet, training and goals on the JSF BodyShop™ web site. The web site is about to go into beta mode, so not everyone will have access to it for the first month or so of my cut. Therefore, I think I’m going to design all my meal and training plans in BodyShop, and then post screenshots of my diet and training plans here. That way those of you who are not beta testers can not only see what I’m doing on this cut, but also get a few more glimpses of BodyShop. Of course once BodyShop launches everyone will have access to the site, and from that point forward my diet and training will be exclusively tracked there.

I know a lot of you are planning to get in shape for the new year, and I think that’s great! I encourage you to get involved on the forums. If you’re not sure where to begin, start off by reading the excellent fat loss/muscle building primers in the beginner’s forum. If you want to work with a personal trainer who can design a complete custom diet and training program just for you, you’re in luck because forum sponsor Aram “Mastover” Hamparian is holding a 15% off sale during the entire month of January! More details on the sale can be found here.

It’s time for me to get to work. This is going to be a short work week, but a very busy one. Have a great day!
