With my 2010 cut starting tomorrow, this morning I took a complete set of starting measurements, my body fat reading and my scale weight. It’s worse than I thought. I’ll put it this way: I’ve got some work to do…

My scale weight is 206.4 pounds this morning, and my body fat percentage is a whopping 15.5% (as measured by the FatTrack Pro Digital Caliper). That’s about 174.4 pounds of lean mass and 32 pounds of fat. To get down to 8% body fat I need to cut my fat stores in half, and lose about 16 pounds of fat. About 4 or 5 pounds of my lean mass is water weight from this weekend’s pre-cut junk food free for all, so all told I expect to have to lose at least 21 pounds. I estimate this will take about 3 months.

My tape measurements can be found on my stats page. I’ve only put my stats on the old stats page temporarily; As soon as it launches I’m going to be tracking my stats on the JSF BodyShop™ (actually I already am tracking my stats on BodyShop, so this data will be there when it opens to the public).

Now more than ever, I’m really looking forward to my cut. I’m going to be 100% dedicated until I reach my goal.
