Yesterday was one seriously crazy day at work. I put in almost 14 hours, with a one hour break for my leg workout. I actually worked out earlier than I normally do because there was a brief lull in the madness and I seized the opportunity. I’m glad that I did, because if I’d waited until my usual workout time there’s no way I would have been able to train then.

As for the actual workout (legs), it went better than my attempts to train last week, but was still below par. I am able to eat and chew without too much pain now, but it’s going to take some time for me to regain my strength. I know the wounds in my mouth are finally healing because I was able to eat Sriracha hot sauce yesterday for the first time since the accident! I made the mistake of trying to put Sriracha on my chicken breast not too long after the accident. That was a big mistake!

This is a very exciting day here at JSF: in just a few hours the JSF BodyShop™ closed beta program will be launching! JSF BodyShop™ has been in development for more than half a year, and I believe that we’ve created something very unique and very special. When we began working on this project our goal was to create the most comprehensive fitness-oriented social networking site on the Internet. In order to reach that lofty goal we knew that we would have to create a feature-rich environment that was actually fun and easy to use. I’ve been using BodyShop to plan and track my 2010 cut, and I truly feel that we’ve succeeded in reaching our goals.

If you are a Bronze or higher JSF supporting member, later today you will be receiving your closed beta invite package by email. It is very important that you read the entire email and the BodyShop support sticky threads (links will be provided in the beta invite package) so that you fully understand the proper bug reporting and feature suggestion procedures. By the way, if you choose to upgrade your membership to Bronze or higher at any point during the closed beta, you will automatically receive a JSF BodyShop™ beta invite package.
