Week #6 of my 2010 cut is in the books. As I always do on Sunday, I’ve taken a complete set of measurements, my body fat reading and my scale weight so that I can properly evaluate my progress. Unfortunately this was my worst week so far, and I know why. First, I’ll go over the numbers

My scale weight this morning is 192.6 pounds, which means I’ve lost 1 pound over the past week, and a total of 13.8 pounds since the start of my cut.

My body fat reading this morning is 11.9% (as measured by the Fat Track PRO Digital Body Fat Calipers). That’s a .3% drop from last week’s reading of 12.2%, and a 3.6% drop from my 2010 cut starting body fat percentage of 15.5%.

Over the past week I’ve lost .7 pounds of fat and .3 pounds of lean mass.

My total losses since the start of my cut now stand at 9.07 pounds of fat, and 4.73 pounds of lean mass.

My tape measurements (as measured by the MyoTape) are as follows: this past week I lost a quarter-inch from my hips. All the rest of my measurements remained the same. My 2010 cut total measurement changes now come to a total of 2.5 inches off my waist, 2 inches from my hips, 1.25 inches from my thighs and a half-inch from my chest.

That was obviously a pretty lackluster week of progress. 1/3 of my weight loss was lean mass, and my tape measurements showed very little improvement. Despite what I said last Sunday, I continued to under-eat for most of the week, which is just inexcusable. I have been very busy and stressed out, and I’ve let those things affect me. While I’m proud of myself for sticking to clean foods and not eating anything off my planned diet, that’s only part of the equation for a successful cut. I need to do better – no excuses. This week I’m going to pay extra careful attention to my diet and training, and really get focused again.

On to another subject: JSF BodyShop. Matt and I had a very long and productive meeting yesterday. After the meeting, we both worked all day on addressing the items we discussed. We’ve still got more work to do before the new theme can be launched, but it’s really coming along nicely. Here’s a new screenshot of what will soon be the default look for BodyShop.

We’re house cleaning this morning. Joy. This evening should be fun, though. I’m looking forward to a quiet dinner with Lisa and taking a little time off. See you tomorrow!
