Energy up, strength down; Lip still healing; Today’s HIIT workout.

I just looked down at the clock and I can’t believe it’s already 8:30 AM. I’ve been at it since the minute I woke up, and I’m already way behind schedule.

I had another decent workout yesterday. Not great, but good. My energy levels have been fine, but my strength is still down. I have been eating more this week, and I think next week I may ramp up my calories just a little more. My appetite has certainly returned: I’ve been really hungry this week!

By the way, it’s been almost a month since the bike accident and my lip is still healing up. The side of my lip that was partially severed is still a little puffy, but it’s sort of hard. I think it may be scar tissue. It’s also still a little painful to the touch. The wounds inside my mouth are also still healing. Thankfully I can chew and talk with no pain now, which is a huge relief.

Today’s a cardio-only day, and with practically no spare time available to me I’ll be doing another 16-minute HIIT cardio session. The HIIT workout will be a 2 minute warm-up followed by alternating intervals of 45-seconds all-out, 45 seconds active recovery.

I’ve got to get back to work now. Train hard!
