Today is the end of week #7 of my 2010 cut. This was a challenging week for me: my work week was absolutely insane, free time was extremely limited, my stress level was pretty high and the desire to go off my planned diet was incredibly strong. I’m happy to report that I managed to stay on track, and this morning my dedication was rewarded when I took my weekly measurements and body fat reading. Let’s take a look at the numbers…

My scale weight this morning is 191 pounds, which means I’ve lost 1.6 pounds over the past week, and a total of 15.4 pounds since the start of my cut.

My body fat reading this morning is 11.2% (as measured by the Fat Track PRO Digital Body Fat Calipers). That’s a .7% drop from last week’s reading of 11.9%, and a 4.3% drop from my 2010 cut starting body fat percentage of 15.5%.

Over the past week I’ve lost 1.53 pounds of fat and .07 pounds of lean mass. That’s a negligible amount of LBM, and this is something I’m very happy about. I’d been under-eating since my bike accident, and raising my food intake by around 300 calories per day made all the difference.

My total losses since the start of my cut now stand at 10.6 pounds of fat, and 4.8 pounds of lean mass.

My tape measurements (as measured by the MyoTape) are as follows: this past week I lost a quarter-inch from my waist, a quarter-inch from my hips and quarter-inch from my thighs. All the rest of my measurements remained the same. My 2010 cut total measurement changes now come to a total of 2.75 inches off my waist, 2.25 inches from my hips, 1.5 inches from my thighs and a half-inch from my chest.

A few great new features have been quietly added to JSF BodyShop™ over the past week! Beta testers, please give these new features a try:

– Users can now create recipes, complete with a photograph. Just go to the “Food” section, click the “Recipes” tab and start adding all your favorite dishes. Recipes are great because grouping ingredients together allows for easy one-click addition of all the food items to your meal plans.

– Another cool new feature is users can now submit custom foods to be added to the global database. All you need to when you create or edit a custom food item is check the box marked “Submit for consideration for addition to global food database”. All items are reviewed for accuracy before being added to the database.

– When you add foods to your meal plan, you can now add several items at once just by clicking the check box next to each item you want to add. This new feature makes entering your meals faster and easier then ever!

Aside from a morning meeting and a couple of minor work issues I was able to take the entire day off yesterday. I am a little more recharged this morning, but I am still feeling really burnt out. I wish I could hop on a plane to Vegas and just disappear for a couple of weeks, but there’s no way I can do that right now. Hey, at least I have today off. Same deal as yesterday: biking, hanging out with Lisa and Loki, movies up in the theater and Sunday afternoon poker. I’m grilling some lean steaks for dinner, too! It should be a fun and relaxing day.

AtLarge Nutrition is running a 15% off sale through Monday! This will probably be their last sale for quite some time, so this will likly be your last chance to stock up on your favorite AtLarge products at greatly reduced prices. As always, the 15% off includes the price of shipping. Personally I’m a big fan of Nitrean protein powder (I use this product every single day), their Novus protein bars, RESULTS™ (I used RESULTS all during my 2008 bulk) and ETS. Go load up your cart and use the coupon code febsale at checkout.
