Attitude check!

Cutting body fat can be pretty difficult on several different levels, and that’s why if you want to succeed you have to commit yourself to the process 100%. If you have a negative attitude and complain every step of the way then you’re probably not going to reach your goal. While I’m no different than most and don’t particularly enjoy cutting, I try to focus on the positive aspects of the process and really get into it. There are times in life (outside of training) when we have to do things we don’t enjoy; being disciplined with my diet and training helps prepare me for those kinds of situations. It’s an especially good feeling to accomplish something that I didn’t feel like doing, and every time I experience that satisfaction it makes it a little easier the next time.

If you spend your time complaining and being negative, then I encourage you to put some thought into why that is. What good is all that negativity doing you? Is it making you happier? Of course not – quite the opposite, in fact. If you’re not enjoying the ride, then you’re doing it wrong.
