I’ve been sleeping later than usual lately. For the past six or seven years I’ve been waking up at 6:00 AM without fail, but over the past few weeks I’ve been waking up at like 6:30 or 6:45. There was a time Loki never would have allowed me to sleep even a minute past 6:00 (his breakfast is at 6:00 AM sharp), but now even he seems content to catch a few extra snores. I guess we’re all getting old. Anyway, with the time change coming up this weekend (I’ll resist the urge to rant about DST… for now), this may be a problem. I can still get my morning rituals done before work if I get up at 6:30, but 7:30 just won’t work. I think I’m going to have to set the alarm clock for the first time in many years!

Speaking of Loki, his annual check-up went very well! We’ll have the results of the blood work today, but the x-rays look great and his physical exam shows no problems at all. Loki’s doctor said that he’s in amazing health for a big dog who’s almost 15 years old. This news has put me in an a fantastic mood!

For some reason my right wrist is hurting this morning. I have no idea why. I have not done anything that I know of that could have caused the pain. Very strange. Today is my back and biceps workout, and I’m concerned that curling may be an issue. I just grabbed a couple of light-ish dumbbells and did a couple of test curls and it didn’t feel too good. Weird. I’ll wrap the wrist before I train and see how it goes…

Happy Friday!
