It is going to be an incredible spring day! I am very tempted to take a personal day and continue with my springtime chores. Every spring I have a large list of jobs that I like to accomplish around the house, and the weather today is going to be absolutely perfect for working outside. Yeah, I just talked myself into it, I’m going to try and swing a personal day.

The pain that I was feeling in my wrist last week seems to be gone. I’ve still got a couple days before my next upper body workout, so by Wednesday I think there will be no problem at all. I’m still going to wrap the wrist up extra tight just to be safe.

This past weekend I was friended on Facebook by a guy who came across my faceplant video on Youtube. Turns out that this guy is one of the main volunteers who maintain and improve the trail! We exchanged a couple messages, and he told me that another guy broke his wrist on that same ramp, another broke a couple bones in his hand and at least a dozen others (that he knows of) have fallen hard in that same spot. I presume most of these riders have more experience than I do, so it made me feel a little better to know that it wasn’t just me. Anyway, he told me that this week they are going to work on improving that area and making it safer. Apparently yesterday there was a crew of volunteers out there working on the trail, so I’m very excited to get back out there and check it out. Very cool.
