Week #11 of my 2010 cut is complete. I took this past week off from weight training and cardio, but stuck to my regular cutting diet. I didn’t expect much, if any progress this week. My goal was simply to give my body a little break so that a few minor, but annoying, injuries could heal.

My scale weight this morning is 188.2 pounds, which means I’ve lost .4 pounds over the past week, and a total of 18.2 pounds since the start of my cut.

My body fat reading this morning is 10.3% (as measured by the Fat Track PRO Digital Body Fat Calipers). That’s a .1% drop from last week’s reading of 10.4%, and a 5.2% drop from my 2010 cut starting body fat percentage of 15.5%. As expected, not much change here.

Over the past week I’ve lost .23 pounds of fat and .17 pounds of lean mass. Given the margin of error with the calipers, this is pretty meaningless.

My total losses since the start of my cut now stand at 12.61 pounds of fat, and 5.59 pounds of lean mass.

My tape measurements (as measured by the MyoTape) are identical to last week’s measurements. My 2010 cut total measurement changes are as follows: 3.25 inches off my waist, 2.5 inches from my hips, 1.75 inches from my thighs and a half-inch from my chest.

I think the week off from training will pay off. My body feel pretty much tip-top now, but my lower back is still bothering me a bit. I think I may play it safe tomorrow and do leg press instead of squats. There’s really no substitute for squats, but I feel avoiding them until my back is 100% is the wisest choice.

I’m taking the day off from everything. No chores, no projects, no yard work. It’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed a movie day, so I think that’s the plan. I hope you enjoy your Sunday!
