It’s a nasty, rainy day here in Central Florida. What a shame, because yesterday while planning today’s leg workout I decided that I was going to take part of it outdoors for some backyard lunges. Oh well. Maybe next week.
I am now entering week 13 of my cut and, as of yesterday, I’ve reached 10.1% body fat. The final four weeks (est) of my cut will also be the most challenging. Cutting from 10% body fat to 8% body fat is not what I would call “easy”, but it’s very do-able. I’ve cut down as low as 6% body fat before, and the discipline required to cut from 8% down to 6% body fat makes the drop from 10% to 8% feel like a Swedish massage by comparison. I will keep that fact in mind in the weeks ahead, and try to remember that – comparatively speaking – my 8% body fat goal is a cakewalk.
I think I made the right choice in delaying my big spring mulch project until next weekend. My back is feeling much improved this morning, and I guarantee that if I’d gone ahead with spreading 12 yards of mulch over the weekend I’d be singing a different tune this morning. I’m going to stick with leg presses and rack pulls instead of squats and deads again this week, and hopefully by next week my back will be 100% again. I am really looking forward to getting back in the squat rack where I belong.
