After months of development and beta testing, we are proud to announce the public launch of JSF BodyShop™!

Unlike some other fitness sites that require you to pay in order to unlock “premium” features, JSF BodyShop™ is 100% free of charge! There is no catch. It’s all free, and it won’t cost you a dime.

I know you’re anxious to get started, but before you dive in please take a few minutes to read this introductory information.

We designed JSF BodyShop™ with the goal of providing its members with a comprehensive set of powerful software tools that would make planing, tracking and ultimately reaching your fitness goals a fun and exciting experience. Of course even with the best planning and tracking software we know from first-hand experience that reaching fitness goals can be pretty tough! That’s why we felt it was important to not simply create a set of tools, but to also build a spirited community of fitness enthusiasts. We hope you’ll find JSF BodyShop™ to be a fun, friendly place where you can freely share, interact, inspire and be inspired.

We have provided a special set of three forums just for BodyShop users. These forums are the ONLY place you should report bugs, request new features or ask questions about general BodyShop usage. The forums can be found here.

We worked hard during the beta testing phase to find and eliminate bugs. If something got by us and is not working as expected, please let us know. We have a special forum just for reporting bugs. We ask that you follow a specific protocol when reporting bugs so that we can efficiently investigate the issue. The bug reporting procedure is found here.

If you have an idea for a new feature (or would like to suggest an improvement for an existing feature), then we definitely want to hear what you have to say! We promise to consider all suggestions, we only ask that you please follow a simple procedure so that we can efficiently track your request. The feature suggestion procedure is found here

One of our design goals was to make BodyShop fun and simple to use. Most people don’t find reading manuals all that much fun, and that’s why we tried to make learning to use the site as simple and intuitive as possible. You’ll notice green “question mark” help icons are scattered throughout the entire site. If you need a little help with a section, just click the closest help icon for context-sensitive assistance. We hope that as you explore the site you’ll have no problem doing all the things you want to do; however, if you become stuck, feel frustrated, can’t figure out how to do something or you simply feel something is not very clear, then please let us know! General usage questions and comments should be posted in the Comments & Questions forum.

Here’s a short list of just some of the things you can do on BodyShop:

– Modify your profile, upload your profile picture, set your preferences and set your privacy options.
– Set your mood and motivation level.

You’ll notice that you have a live news feed on your main portal page (you’ll find that it’s very similar to Facebook’s live feed). Anytime your friends perform an activity it will appear in your live news feed. Feel free to comment on news feed items and interact with your friends. You’ll want to search for everyone you know and add them as a friend, and invite your friends who are not yet using BodyShop!

Not only is JSF BodyShop™ 100% free, we’re giving away valuable prizes just for using the site! The more you use BodyShop, the more points you’ll earn. Earning points allows you to enter drawings for free stuff! Our first prize draw will be held on May 31, 2010. You’ll need to accumulate 250 points and have at least one referral to enter this drawing. For more information log into BodyShop and click on “Prize Draws” from the main (left) menu.

Here’s how to get started:

If you are an existing JSF Forum member you should NOT create a new account on BodyShop; Simply log in to BodyShop (http://www.jsfbodyshop.com) using your existing forum username and password. If you’ve lost your forum password, you can reset it here. If you don’t have an existing JSF Forum account, you can create a new account on BodyShop; this will also create an account on the forums for you.

I sincerely hope you enjoy using JSF BodyShop™!
