Yesterday afternoon’s workout (back & biceps) was a blast! As I mentioned I was going to do in yesterday’s update, I came up with a new training program to see me through to the end of this cut. This training program combines the core and intensity workouts into a nice mix of the two techniques. Here’s what I did:

BACK/TRAPS
3 x 4-6 Deadlifts (+ 5 warm-up/acclimation sets)
SUPERSETS: 3 x 10 Low cable rows / burnout body weight wide-grip pull-ups
3 x 8 Bent-over barbell rows
3 x 15 Behind-the-back barbell shrugs

BICEPS
SUPERSETS: 3 x 8 Barbell curls / burnout body weight chin-ups
2 x failure “down the rack” hammer curls (5 weights)

Speaking of training, a great new feature has just been implemented on JSF BodyShop™! Users now have the option of creating “on the fly” workout logs, and are no longer required to create “formal” training programs. There are times when having a formal training program makes a lot of sense, but for many of us simply logging our workouts is all we want to do. Personally I’m very happy that this new feature has been implemented because the formal training program that was once required was overkill for my purposes. I like to have the freedom of making changes whenever I like, and the newly enhanced training section of BodyShop accommodates that nicely. I’ll start logging my all workouts on BodyShop in the very near future now.

It’s a very nice morning here in Central Florida, and I think for today’s cardio I’m going to head outdoors for a bike ride.

Enjoy your Saturday!
