Pain in right wrist; Areas of JSF to be depreciated in the near future.

While I was out biking yesterday I tried doing some bunny hopping, but pulling up on the handle bars was just killing my right wrist. I’ve been experiencing pain in my right wrist on and off for quite a long time, but lately it’s been hurting pretty consistently. I’ve been able to get around the wrist pain (for the most part) in the gym by wrapping the wrist tightly. Wrapping my wrists really helps on exercises like bench press, but exercises like DB lateral raises and hammer curls are still quite painful. I have not done anything to injure my wrist, and at this point I have to suspect it’s something like carpal tunnel syndrome. I don’t do long stretches of touch typing day in and day out, but I do tend to keep my hand on my mouse a lot. I also constantly shuffle my chips with my right hand when I play poker, and I think that may be making things worse (although I don’t experience any pain when doing this). I’m going to try to be better about taking my hand away from the mouse when I’m not using it and see if that helps. If the pain doesn’t improve I think I’m going to have to see my doctor about this one.

In yesterday’s weekly progress report I mentioned that I’m going to be shaving a couple hundred calories off my daily food intake. I’m going to start that adjustment today. If you are interested in my cutting diet, you can check it out on JSF BodyShop™. If you have an existing forum account, all you need to do is log in to BodyShop using your forum username and password. Otherwise, just create a new account (it’s fast and free). BodyShop is far superior to the old methods I once used to track my diet, training and stats; as such, those areas of this site will be depreciated in the very near future (in fact, my diet is now tracked exclusively on BodyShop). Of course I’ll leave my historical data up here on JSF, but after this cut I’ll be tracking diet, training and stats exclusively on BodyShop. BodyShop actually provides far more detail than I ever had here, and entering/analyzing the data is fast and easy. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this powerful and FREE resource. There is nothing to buy – period; just sign in and start using the site.

It’s leg day! I’ll be doing the new training routine that I came up with last Monday, and I’m really looking forward to it. I feel great this morning, and I know I’m going to have an awesome workout.

Come join us on our brand new site, JSF BodyShop™! BodyShop is 100% free, and has all the features you need to make planning, tracking and ultimately reaching your goals as fun and easy as possible.
