Final workout of my cut; Gained strength while cutting fat; May “100 Challenge”.

Today is the final workout (back/traps/biceps) of 2010 cut! I’m going to finish up with a bang, and make this last workout an exceptional one.

I’m deadlifting, squatting and benching more now at 180 pounds than I was back in January at 206 pounds. I very happy that I’ve managed to increase my strength while cutting body fat. I feel that the low volume, very heavy compound-focused “core” workouts combined with my clean diet are the primary reasons for the strength gains. I’ve also been very careful to get plenty of rest, and that’s very important, too.

It feels weird being so light right now. I love being lean, but I feel pretty small at just 180 pounds! I still have not decided if I’m going to bulk this fall, but the notion has certainly been in the back of my mind lately. I really do love bulking: lots of food, heavy weights and big gains in size and strength… I’ll continue to mull it over this summer, and I’m sure by time fall rolls around I’ll know what to do.

This is your last chance to get in on the May 2010 “100 Challenge”. The challenge starts tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM sharp, so be sure to get your registration post up today. Details are below.
