Still losing fat, going to balance things this weekend with a couple free meals!

Yesterday was a long, stressful day, but I made the best of it and managed to accomplish a great deal of work. Thankfully today looks like it’s going to be much calmer at work (famous last words?), and I’m looking forward to a good workout this afternoon.

Yesterday I had the top down on my car and as I was driving past my favorite barbecue place the incredible smell literally made my mouth start watering. I decided to reserve my cheat meal for the weekend, and resisted the very strong urge to make a u-turn. I think tonight or tomorrow I’m going to go there for a some BBQ and a couple Guinness extra stouts!

I stepped on the scale this morning and I’m down a full pound since my cut ended. 😆 I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, as I’ve been eating clean all week and have not really raised my calories much over my cutting diet. The funny thing is that – apart from once or twice – I’ve not experienced any cravings or feelings of being hungry. I know I should start ramping my calories up a bit more, but I’m actually pretty satiated right now. I have a feeling my cheat meal this weekend plus the popcorn I’ll surely eat while I watch a couple of movies will even things out. I also think I’m going to have a semi-cheat meal and grill feta cheese burgers. I make the burgers with lean ground beef, but I call it a “semi-cheat” because I will put feta cheese on the burger (along with raw spinach, tomato and red onion) and put it on a toasted bun rubbed with fresh garlic. This burger is great served with roasted red potatoes!

I’m so glad it’s finally Friday. This week has felt more like a month, and I am really looking forward to a fun weekend.
