Broke my top speed record on the bike yesterday; Today’s plans.

I came very close, but I failed to break my best average speed on yesterday morning’s bike ride. The wind was blowing pretty hard, and on a couple of the uphills where I normally maintain around 15 miles per hour I was below pace. I had the strong wind at my back during the fastest section of the route, and broke my all-time top speed record by hitting 33.8 MPH! The asphalt sure looks unfriendly at that speed. The speed limit on that road is 25 MPH, and it is heavily patrolled; it would be amusing to actually pass a car sometime.

After I got back from yesterday morning’s bike ride I just did not want to go inside. The incredible weather we’ve been having lately is making me look for any excuse to be outdoors. I washed and detailed my car, and then did hours and hours of yard work. The gardens are looking amazing now, and the grass is about 85% recovered from the winter. Maybe I’ll get some new garden pictures today…

I’m going to go for another bike ride now, this time with Lisa. After that I’m going to wash and detail her car, and then catch a movie. I’m one of the few people on the planet who has not seen “Avatar”, so I think that’s on tap for this afternoon. Should be a fun day!
