When I was cutting body fat I found that eating more or less the same foods all the time worked best for me. I really enjoyed the foods I was eating on my cut, and I never seemed to grow tired of them. Eating the same stuff all the time also made sticking to my planned diet easy because I became very efficient at planning my meals and cooking my food. Even now that my cut is over I’ve been eating the same old stuff, but I want to change that. I think part of the reason I’m still eating the same stuff is because I’ve been very busy, but truthfully it’s also due to laziness. So this weekend I resolve to sit down with some dusty cookbooks and start planning out some new healthy and delicious meals! I’ll be sure to talk about what I’m trying, and I’ll share the really good stuff I find here. Of course I’ll continue to log all my meals on JSF BodyShop™.

Speaking of food, I sometimes get emails or PMs asking me how I resist all the candy up in our home theater lobby. I like chocolate and sweets on occasion, but that kind of stuff is not something I really crave very often. Actually, now that I think about it, I have not had a single bite of anything sweet since last year! Of course I didn’t have any sweets while I was cutting, but even now that my cut has ended I still have not had anything like that. If I’m going to splurge on calories, the kind of food I crave is stuff like movie theater popcorn, french fries and pizza!

As for this weekend’s cheat meal, I think I’m going to hold off until tomorrow to have it. Today is Lisa and my 16 year wedding anniversary (wow!), but we both have to work late. So tomorrow night we’re going to go out to dinner. We were talking about it last night, and it’s looking like seafood. Maybe I’ll even have dessert!
