I called my doctor yesterday to make an appointment to have my wrist checked out, but he was all booked up. The next appointment he has open is on Thursday, which is a really bad day for me. I went ahead and scheduled the appointment anyway because I can’t keep putting this off. I’ve not been able to do any upper body work in over two weeks, and it’s driving me insane. While my wrist feels somewhat better, it still hurts and I know if I try to lift again it will go back to hurting badly.

I called my boss yesterday to tell him that I have to take a couple hours on Thursday to see the doctor, and he reminded me that about eight years ago he suffered from CTS. He started using a vertical mouse, and said that it helped tremendously. I put my hand in the vertical mouse position and I found it to be much more comfortable than the standard mouse position. I think I’m going to order one. Do any of you guys use a one of these?

My bathroom scale has been acting really weird lately. The scale is an old Taylor with all-but-useless BIA body fat testing functionality. My scale readings have been varying as much as 4 pounds from one minute to the next, so I decided to replace the scale. Because I don’t care about BIA (I use a 7-point digital caliper to measure my body fat), I decided to purchase a scale that one does one thing: accurate weight. I got the EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale, and I am very happy with it. It looks great, has a big 3.5″ blue backlit display and, most importantly, is very accurate. I checked it with dumbbells and it’s right on the money. I weighed myself and then grabbed a water bottle with 8 oz of water in it, and it was dead-on. My old scale seems to read around 3-5 pounds high (like I said, it’s all over the place lately).

I took my weekly measurements this morning and my scale weight is 175.2 pounds, my body fat is still 7.1% and all my measurements are identical to what they were when I completed my cut five weeks ago. I’m pretty happy about that, especially because my diet was pretty darn lose over the weekend!

I think I’m going to make a new kind of stir fry tonight. I’ll post the recipe tomorrow if it comes out well.

I’m going to go get a bike ride in before work – have a great day!
