Saw doctor about wrist yesterday; New scale is 100% accurate.

Yesterday I saw my doctor about my right wrist. He took 3 x-rays and said there are no bone issues (no spurs, no fractures). So that’s good news. Because it’s a soft tissue problem, he put me on a NSAID called “Mobic”, 15mg. He wants me to take one pill every day for 90 days and see if that allows the injury to heal. I was surprised when he told me that I could lift weights during this time! He told me to continue to wrap my wrist and to use common sense to back off if there’s pain. No maxing out, either. If there is still pain in my wrist after 90 days, then I’ll be referred to a orthopedic doctor and will likely be looking at surgery.

I mentioned that I got a new bathroom scale the other day, and that I was very happy with it. Of course while I was at the doctor yesterday they measured my weight on their very accurate medical beam scale. My scale weight was 181 pounds (with all my clothes and shoes on). When I got home from the doctor I stepped on my new scale, and my weight was exactly 181.0 pounds. This is the most accurate digital scale I’ve owned. It looks great, and is surprisingly inexpensive for such an accurate scale. I highly recommend it!

I’ve got a busy day ahead, and it looks like I’m going to have to work this weekend too. Drag. Oh well, at least I can start doing upper body work again next week! I’m going to go get a ride in while I have time. Happy Friday!
