First upper body workout in almost a month – how was my wrist?

So yesterday was my first upper body workout in almost a month (chest/delts/triceps). In the days leading up to yesterday’s workout the pain in my right wrist was the least amount that I’ve experienced in many months – no doubt due to the time I took off from upper body training. Yesterday morning I took my first dose of the anti-inflammatory that my doctor prescribed (“Mobic”), and not long after I took the pill there was ZERO pain in my wrist. I couldn’t believe it! I kept moving the wrist around expecting to feel that familiar nagging pain (even when it’s feeling “good” there’s still pain), but for the first time in years my wrist felt 100% fine. Even during my workout there was no pain in my wrist – and I did DB laterals, which normally make my wrist scream in pain. I really hope that the Mobic continues to work as well as it did yesterday and, more importantly, that it allows whatever is wrong with my wrist to finally heal up. I really do not want to have to have surgery.

I know I haven’t posted any new recipes this week, but there’s a good reason for that: Lisa and I have both had incredibly long and very busy work days. Our schedules are all out of sync, and I don’t like cooking new meals just for me. Things should settle down a bit next week (I hope) and I’ll probably get at least a couple of new recipes up. I think I’m also going to do a temporary re-design of the recipe page. Right now it’s just a list of the recipes in the order that I posted them, but that’s becoming too long to sort through now. I’ll probably divide them into categories and then alphabetize them.

Today’s a cardio day, and I’m going to go get a ride in before work. It rained very hard yesterday, and the giant field across from my house is probably pretty muddy in spots. So of course I’m going to ride there. 🙂
