I woke up this morning at 6:00 AM sharp and jumped right out of bed feeling very rested and alert. As I mentioned yesterday, I’ll be working on a big project for work all weekend long, and so far this morning it’s been going great! Some stuff that was giving me trouble yesterday afternoon seems trivial by comparison this morning. Sometimes it really helps to step away and clear your mind.

I’m on a roll and I hate to break away, but it’s a really nice morning and I’m itching to go for a bike ride. It’s been pretty dry here lately, and I’ll bet the sugar sand in the field across from my house is extra sugary. I could use a tough cardio workout after the pizza I ate last night. Yeah, I think I’m going to hop on the bike and go ride for an hour.

Interesting note: normally when I have a heavy splurge meal like pizza and breadsticks I sleep like crap that night. I usually wake up several times absolutely parched and just generally have a miserable night feeling thirsty and hot. For some reason last night I slept like the dead. I didn’t even wake up once, which I don’t think has ever happened. Maybe that’s why I feel so focused this morning.

If things with my project continue as they have been, I may actually finish this whole thing up tonight! That would be cool, I’d love to take tomorrow off. I could use it. I’m going to get some breakfast going and get that ride in now. Hope you have a great Saturday!
