I am way ahead of schedule on the project I am working on. Yesterday I was totally in the zone, solving fairly difficult problems like they were nothing. I love days like that. When I knocked off for the evening the project was 90% complete. There are two issues that still remain, and they are fairly challenging. I knew that with a good night’s sleep and a fresh mind I’d find the solution, and sure enough this morning I’ve already made some excellent progress on one of the issues. I’m really hoping to finish this up this morning so I can take the rest of the day off. I’ve been enjoying my work, but I could definitely use a little time off.

Next week is going to be very busy for me, but I’ve decided that at a minimum I’m taking off for the 3-day 4th of July weekend. I may even take the whole week off if I can swing it. I’ve still got like 2 weeks of unused vacation time that resets at the end of July.

On the fitness front, I’m doing pretty good. Unfortunately I missed another workout last week, but considering the amount of hours I’ve been putting in lately I can live with 2 missed weight training workouts in a month. Next week I’m going to make sure that no matter what’s going on I get all my workouts in. A missed workout here and there is no big deal, but I don’t want to let that turn into a pattern. That’s a slippery slope, and one I think most of us have been on at one time or another.

I’m going to go get a bike ride in and get back to work. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

FINAL DAY! AtLarge Nutrition is running a 15% OFF SALE! This is a great time to stock up on all of your favorite AtLarge products. Better hurry, though: the sale only runs through this Sunday. Load up your cart and at checkout use coupon code 15percent.
