Today I’ll be doing my chest, delts and triceps workout and I’m really looking forward to it. With my wrist still feeling 100% I’m going to up the weight and lower the volume. I’m not trying to stress-test the wrist or anything, after all it is (hopefully) healing, but I really enjoyed Monday’s heavy leg workout and have decided to make this a “heavy” week for all my workouts. One exercise I’m going to stay away from while my wrist is healing is the close-grip bench press. I think close-grip bench press is a great tricep exercise, but it is one of the worst offenders when it comes to aggravating my wrist. I’ll probably do some heavy triceps pressdowns or french curls instead.

I’m getting very excited about my vacation! After putting in 70+ hours per week for the past month or so, having nine straight days off will seem surreal. Actually I am going to have to do some amount of work while I’m off, but I’m going to try to keep it to an hour in the morning and and, if needed, a half-hour in the evening. For the Fourth of July weekend we’re having family over for a couple of days. I’m going to make everyone my recently perfected Grilled Burgers with Applewood Bacon and Caramelized Onions. Nothing like a 4th of July cookout to kick off a vacation!

I’m getting a little ahead of myself here. I’ve got a lot of work to do before I can kick back and put my feet up! Oh, today is the last chance to register for the July “100 Challenge”! Details are just below…
