Wound up doing absolutely nothing yesterday; Today’s plans; Lisa’s cooking!
Talk about a 180. As I wrote in yesterday morning’s blog, I woke up yesterday feeling exceptionally motivated and was champing at the bit to get outside and do something… anything! I actually drove up to the hardware store and was was looking around trying to figure out what I felt like working on when all of a sudden I realized I didn’t feel like doing a darn thing. Normally being at the hardware store increases my motivation to do projects, so I sort of stood there for a few minutes wondering what was going on. After a couple minutes of standing around looking slightly awkward, I left the store empty-handed and returned home where I enthusiastically sat on butt for the rest of the day. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a high amount of motivation evaporate so quickly.
OK, so this morning I’m feeling really energetic once again. I’m not sure if I want to go for a bike ride or work outside. Lisa pulled a calf muscle, so I’m leaning towards doing an outdoor project since she can’t ride with me. It’s a beautiful morning, so I also think I’m going to take an entirely new set of pond photos. The set of pictures I took after the landscaping was completed look very “cold” compared to a couple more recent photos that I shot in the morning light. It’s amazing what a difference the light makes. I’m no photographer, but I’ll bet most of them like taking outdoor pictures at dawn. Based on my limited experience, outdoor photos seem to look the best in the morning light.
Lisa is cooking tonight! It’s going to be a cheat meal: Latin-style slow cooked shredded pork with bell peppers and rice. I can’t wait!
