Rainy, dreary, tired: lazy day ahead.

It’s been raining here all night, and this morning it’s dreary, drizzling and overcast. I’m not sure if it’s because of the weather or what, but I’m feeling extraordinarily lazy. Normally on Saturday mornings I’d go for a bike ride, but I just don’t feel like doing anything. I am also very tired this morning, thanks to the Cuban Treefrogs. Every time it rains at night they come out to breed, and their mating call is one of the most obnoxious sounds ever produced by a living creature not named Chris Tucker. These little frogs are also extremely loud. This is what I’ve been listening to all night long. This morning I got up early and managed to collect a half-dozen of the frogs, which I’ll be relocating to a nearby lake shortly. The Cuban Treefrogs are an invasive species, and it’s recommend by some that they be killed, but I’m simply not capable of killing something that’s not trying to harm me or someone else. So please don’t email and tell me to kill them – I just can’t do it.

So unless I catch an expected burst of energy, I’m taking today off from any physical activity and vegging out. There’s nothing wrong with an occasional lazy day!

I’m going to get these frogs to their new home and go watch a movie or something. Enjoy your Saturday!
