Great back workout; Weather is incredible; New workout time for cut?

I got up at 5:45 this morning, ate breakfast and got a great back workout in! This week I’ve been doing higher volume “intensity” workouts, and I managed to work up quite a sweat despite the 65 degree (F) indoor temperature (I refuse to turn on the heat unless the indoor temperature gets closer to 60 degrees).

It’s been in the upper 30s outside the past couple of nights, and I’m loving the cooler temperatures. When I went for my bike ride yesterday afternoon it was 60 degrees and sunny. It doesn’t get much better than that, IMO. This weekend’s weather should be about the same, so I’ll be out on the trails as much as possible. I may even get a ride in this afternoon after work. Right now I’m pretty beat from my back workout, but weather like this is almost impossible for me to resist.

When I start cutting in January I may move my weight training workout time back to the afternoon. The afternoon workouts are better from a meal standpoint because my PWO (Post Work Out) meal #2 tends to fall around the time Lisa is home and ready for her dinner. It makes it easier to cook for both of us because my PWO #2 is high in carbs and protein. If I’m working out in the morning my evening meals will tend to have far fewer carbs – usually a protein, some healthy fats and a fibrous carb. Lisa may be OK with this – she tends to go with the flow about that sort of thing, which is awesome. We’ll see.

Happy Friday!
