It took me forever to complete the editing, but I finally got the Soldiers Creek video from Saturday’s ride up yesterday evening.

Saturday’s ride was probably the most fun I’ve had on two wheels, and I think this video is also my favorite of the ones I’ve put together. This video is different from all my others because I’m chasing a couple of other riders (Phil and James, who I met Saturday at the trails). Also, in this video I’ve got some footage of an entirely new section of the trail that has lots of skinnies, narrow ladder bridges, a gap jump and few other goodies. There are a couple other tricky areas that I nailed for the first time yesterday, as well as the big log ride. Here’s the video:

I spent some time this weekend thinking about JSF BodyShop™, JSF and the JSF Forums. As you may recall from a few of last week’s blog entries, the future of BodyShop is in limbo. The main site and the forums are by far the most popular web sites in the JSF family of sites, and they need major revisions. I’ve decided to keep BodyShop running as-is for the time being, and will focus my efforts on first the main site and then the forums. Once those sites have been re-designed and launched then I will turn my attention back to BodyShop. So, for those of you who enjoy BodyShop, it will be there for you (free of charge) for the foreseeable future. I want to thank everyone who took the time to post in the BodyShop feedback thread I started last week. I have carefully read and considered all the comments, and they have been very helpful.

When I start my cut in January I will be logging all my meals on JSF BodyShop™, so if you want to check them out you’ll need to create a free account on there (or, if you have a forum account, simply log in using your forum username and password). I truly feel that the meal plan section of BodyShop is quite powerful, and I’ve found that entering my meals is quick and easy (MUCH easier than the old spreadsheet I was using). I agree with most of you about the workout logging functionality of BodyShop: it’s very cumbersome and – also like most of you – I prefer to keep my workout logs using pen and paper. There’s no way I’m going to sit down after a workout and re-enter all that stuff one exercise at a time. I’m not even sure I’d use a mobile app to track my workouts. The pen and paper method is much easier for me.
