Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos


This delicious splurge meal is a reasonably faithful recreation of Bonefish Grill’s incredible “Bang Bang Tacos”. This dish is best when prepared using a deep fat fryer. I recommend the very inexpensive FryDaddy.


  • 16 Oz Shrimp (peeled and de-veined)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Sriracha hot chili sauce
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 6 flour tortillas
  • lettuce, chopped
  • sour cream
  • vegetable oil


  • Mix mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce and Sriracha in a bowl and set aside.
  • Dredge shrimp in cornstarch.
  • Deep fat fry the shrimp until lightly brown.
  • Drain shrimp on a couple paper towels.
  • Put shrimp in a bowl and coat with the sauce.
  • Place shrimp in warm tortillas, add lettuce, green onions, tomato and sour cream.


Yield: 3 servings (2 tacos per serving).
