Stone’s Oatmeal

Photo coming soon!

This is not a groundbreaking recipe, but this is how I prepared my morning oats for the first few years of my transformation. Shaking the fat-free milk is the secret!

  • 1 cup uncooked oatmeal (makes 2 cups cooked)
  • 1 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar-free syrup
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Protein shaker bottle

  • Bring water to boil over high heat.
  • Add uncooked oats and stir.
  • Reduce heat to medium and cook uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally (adjust cooking time to get the consistency you prefer).
  • When done cooking, turn off burner, cover and let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Add 1/4 cup of sugar-free syrup (more or less to suit your tastes) and stir well.
  • Put oatmeal/syrup mixture in bowl.
  • Put milk into the shaker and shake vigorously until thick and creamy (about a minute).
  • Pour the whipped milk over the oatmeal and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
