Szechwan Shrimp


This is an old family recipe that has been passed down for generations. Enjoy!


  • 16 Oz Shrimp (peeled and de-veined)
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Teaspoons Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Dry sherry
  • 2 Teaspoons Cornstarch
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons Vegetable broth
  • 2 Tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon ginger, chopped
  • 8 Green onions, cut diagonally into 1″ pieces
  • 2 Cloves garlic, minced


  • Dissolve cornstarch in sherry, then mix with broth, soy sauce, ketchup, Sriracha and sugar. Set aside.
  • Preheat oil in wok or large frying pan.
  • Stir fry shrimp, garlic and ginger about 2 minutes.
  • Add green onion and continue stir frying for about another minute.
  • Add liquid mixture and stir fry about 30 seconds or until thickened.


Yield: 2 servings. Serve immediately with rice.
