Really good flavored lean meatloaf. High in protein, great workout day dinner.


  • 1 lb lean (93/7) ground beef
  • 1 lb ground turkey (93/7)
  • Medium onion diced
  • Medium carrot diced
  • 2 stalks celery diced
  • 2 slices whole wheat bread
  • 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 egg whites
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 cup catchup


  • In a pan, saute’ celery, carrot, and onion with olive oil until translucent.
  • Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine beef, turkey, vinegar, Worcestershire, and sauteed vegetables.
  • Mix thoroughly.
  • In a separate bowl, soak bread in water.
  • Drain water and wring out bread like a sponge.
  • Place bread and breadcrumbs in meat mixture and continue to mix.
  • On a baking/cookie sheet, make a loaf out of mixture. Top and cover with catchup.
  • Place in 380 degree oven for 50-60 minutes.


Yield: Serves 4.
