Lisa, who helps me take my weekly body fat reading (the triceps and subscapular pinches are sort of impossible to do solo), has to leave the house extremely early tomorrow morning. Sunday is the usual day that I test my body fat, but we went ahead and did it this morning since Lisa won’t be here when I wake up. I’ll still do all my other measurements tomorrow morning, but as a little preview I can say that I am below 10% body fat now! This morning my body fat reading was 9.5%. I’ll have all the rest of my usual measurements and stats tomorrow morning.
I’m really happy to be closing in on my goal of 7% body fat. In just 9 weeks of focused cutting I’ve lost close to 20 pounds and have improved my cardio, strength and muscle endurance significantly. I can really feel the difference on my bike, too. Just for fun, yesterday I put a 20 pound dumbbell in my CamelBak to instantly simulate the weight I was at just 9 short weeks ago. Wow… HUGE difference.
I think another 3-4 weeks of cutting should do the trick. Roughly 5 more pounds of fat loss stand between my and my goal of 7% body fat. I’m getting ahead of myself – I’ll talk about this in more detail tomorrow morning along with the rest of my stats.
I’ve got a bunch of errands to run this morning, and then another day of work outside. None of the projects I have left to do are physically difficult, so I can’t count it as my cardio for the day. I’m going to get a cardio session in this afternoon, but I’m taking tomorrow 100% off.
I’m feeling nice and rested now, and am ready to get back in the weight room on Monday after my brief 4 day break from training!
